This project is dedicated for the Australian Community. SLGTTOBA has two Blood Donations programmed for the year, to commemorate Wesak in May and to celebrate Christmas in December. Program commenced in 1997 and has now developed to Blood and Plasma donation. If you have traveled overseas and plan to donate blood within a month, you can donate blood plasma. Blood plasma is used for most blood cancer sufferers and patients with blood disorders. Association organizes group donation sessions at various Blood Bank centers across Melbourne. Over 150 members, family and friends participate.
The Red Cross needs more donors urgently and it is an invaluable gift to save lives.
SLGTTIOBA is eager to raise awareness to assist Red Cross to achieve this goal. Each donation supplies enough blood to save three lives! Please join the SLGTTIOBA team with their next Blood Donation session.
